On September 20, 2021 we raffled off the second European UBI for one year and the winner is Thomas from Ireland (Dublin). He replied by email 20min after the livestream ended. So, good news as so far it seems he is willing to cooperate and talk about UBI in his life.
How many of your friends or family members do know about UBI? Thomas' friends now get to know the idea.

Most of us know Italy as a beautiful holiday destination and a country rich in culture and history. Only a few months ago, in March 2020, we heard a lot about Italy as the European Corona-hotspot. Overloaded hospitals, increasing death rates and desperate health personnel. But do we really know much about Italy? What about it’s social security system, pension payments or poverty rate? Didn’t Italy implement a “Reddito di Base”, a basic income a few years ago? Let’s take a closer look.
2020 has been a very busy year for UBI advocates. The topic of the year – Covid19 – fuelled the discussions about UBI. People learned that their self-made prosperity can quickly get under pressure when the environment is changing. Especially in the first half of 2020 many petitions for UBI came up and the press was full of articles, more pro than con. In this period of changes people begin to think of alternatives to our existing system and about the positive effects of UBI. Many activities, projects and discussions were started.
